According to a recent press release by the Wake County Register of Deeds, the value of all real estate transactions in the County was 3% greater for the third quarter of 2019 versus the third quarter of 2018. Lending activity was up about 30% compared to the third quarter of 2018. The median value of a real estate sale was $303,000 in the third quarter of 2019. The data applies to all real estate transactions, including residential and commercial. However, transactions under $1 million, which includes the vast majority of single-family homes, account for 97% of all transactions.
